After years of dealing with chronic pain and nausea, I have learned how rare it is to find someone with a deep understanding of the body and a natural instinct for healing. Sherry Han is one of the rare few. My physical therapist told me it was time to get active and that restorative yoga would be a great way to be active while healing my body. In my first class, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to do anything. I was nervous that it would hurt or make things worse and the 1-1/2 hour class was a lot for my body to take. I learned after ONE class that even if I cannot do all the poses, just by being there and doing what I can, my body feels better; I feel lighter; there is more space for my organs to move into their proper places. Instead of being nauseated, I feel hunger and I usually leave with a smile. It has only been five months since that first class and my body has been getting stronger. I am happier and healthier thanks to Sherry's yoga.
